Does Diet Affect Acne?

I’ll say that diet of course will have an effect on every part of our health, life and existence because our diet dictates what we put into our bodies and what fuels all the metabolic processes of life!
After an observation that teenagers in the Western World [developed countries] commonly were plagued by acne while those in other countries [developing countries] rarely had such a problem.
Australians researchers took 50 young men and divided them into two groups: one with a regular “western” diet and the other with a diet consisting of lean meat, fish, fruits etc. They replaced white breads and highly processed items with whole grains, this diet is otherwise known as the high-protein, low-glycemic index diet.
After 12 weeks, the results were enlightening: the men with the altered diet showed excessive changes in their acne condition, by more than 50%!
Although such were the results, more research needs to be conducted…But either way changing to that type of diet will only help you.
Even if it turns out that diet isn’t always so causal with acne, it can still make you more fit, lean and healthy.
