Comparative Essays for History Class (IB style included)
By TNteam • Jan 4th, 2008 • Category: AcademicsHere are some tips for preparing for in-class history essays (these tips can be specifically used for IB History of the Americas courses):
1) Look through the chapter/notes and identify general similarities.
try color coding the topics by subject for an easy quick study and a way to focus on the general trends
2)Based on the detailed examples you find, make conclusions
3)Figure out which geographical sections those conclusions fit in.
4)Make a chart showing different relationships between different geographical sections.
5)Study your chart.
…it would be a good idea to reexamine your study tactics to see what adjustments need to be made based on the demands of the assignment.
