Informal Oral: Getting Started & Following Through

Writing the IO should be one of your entries on the Winter Break To Do List [its probably under “sleep,” “shop,” and “chill”].

If you find yourself having a hard time getting started, break the giant monster named IO into smaller manageable tasks:

1) If your outline wasn’t very detailed, make it more detailed. The more detailed you make it, the less work you’ll have to do when actually writing it in final form.
>have little sessions where you detailize one roman numeral or set of points in your outline and space it out

2) Based on your new and improved outline, start writing out your IO
>you can break this up into little steps like you did with the outline and space it out

3) Read over and revise.
>again break this up so that you’re not reading and revising your whole paper at once.

I’d say to make this the most fun it can possibly be, break the steps up as much as you can…this way you can still hang out with your friends, go shopping, sleep and chill at the movies and still get your paper done on time and without stress!
