Making a Better Presentation
By TNteam • Jan 23rd, 2008 • Category: AcademicsEye Contact [made easy]:
1] make the font of your text/presentation BIG. Try size 14 or bigger
This makes it easier to glance down and read the text quicker. You also don’t have to look all the way down because the bigger text is easier to see out of the [bottom] corner of your eye.
2] make eye contact when reading short sentences
The best time to look up and make eye contact is when reading short or simple sentences. This way, it is easy to read the next few words in your presentation and remember them.
example: The sky is nothing but a giant spatial arrangement that reflects the blue and white wavelengths of light, but absorbs all the other spectra of light. For this reason, the sky is blue.
a good time to look up would be: “ For this reason, the sky is blue.” because it is short and simple.
